Don Morris - Grandé

Tasting Notes:

A Bordeaux style blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with plumy, nutty flavours and some assertive mineral-berry flavours on the nose.

The wood and fruit in this wine is well integrated. The wine has firm fine tannins and good fruit.

It has been aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.

Enjoy now or cellar for up to 15 years.

This wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.

The wine should reach its optimum drinking window in 5-8 years from now.

If the wine is enjoyed now, make sure to decant it for at least two hours before serving.

This wine can be cellared for up to 15 years under perfect conditions for aging red wine.

Food Suggestion:

Fillet of beef with a black pepper/black mushroom sauce, rack or slow roasted leg of lamb with a rosemary crust, game fillet (gemsbok, springbok or kudu) steak with a creamy wholegrain mustard sauce or a juicy steak.
